LASER ETCHING LEATHER - DESIGNS

After researching different ways of getting pattern onto leather, I decided laser etching would be the best way to get my designs onto the leather for the pieces I will be creating.

I began by scanning in my original drawing and turning it into a vector file - essentially making it a black and white image.

From these images I selected my favourite two and put them onto a jpeg including the outline of the pattern pieces. As shown below.

FOLD FORMING

I had a crafty day with my mum over the christmas holidays trying a bit of fold forming. Neither of us had tried this before so it was fun to give it a go.
